Birth of Princess Lalla Khadija celebrated by Moroccan people

Rabat, March 1 - Pincess Lalla Khadija, born Wednesday evening, at the Royal Palace in Rabat, weighed at her birth 4.16 kg and measured 49cm, according to a nine-member medical team.

 The birth of the second child of King Mohammed VI took place in "the best conditions" the team added.
   The happy event was celebrated by hundreds of citizens and music bands who flocked at the Royal palace to share the royal family's joy.
   A communiqué of the Royal Household, Protocol and Chancellery had announced Wednesday evening that Princess Lalla Salma, spouse of King Mohammed VI gave birth to the princess at 20.00 GMT. The monarch gave the name of Lalla Khadija to the newly-born Princess.
   Both the mother and her baby are doing well, the communiqué added.
   The first child of King Mohammed VI, 43, Crown prince Moulay el Hassan was born on May 8, 2003 in Rabat.
    The birth of the princess was given a 21-gun salute. 
    The communiqué said that a Visitors' Book would be available at the Royal palace, the different Prefectures of the country and at Moroccan embassies abroad for those wishing to Congratulate the monarch and the royal family.
