International groups to launch offshoring and tourism projects in Morocco
 
Skhirat, Dec. 8 - Morocco signed, Thursday in Skhirat (25 south of Rabat), two investment agreements with two international groups in offshoring and tourism fields.

    The first agreement, signed with the Indian group TATA Consultancy Services (TCS), provides for setting up a delivery center in Morocco for the French and Spanish-speaking European countries. This project will create 500 job opportunities.
 
    The Indian group will contribute in an offshoring training program. set up by the Moroccan government, the program aims to train 25,000 people and 100 supervisors up to 2010.
 
    The second agreement, signed with the Qatari "Diar For Real Estate Investment", is meant to achieve an USD335Mn tourism infrastructure integrated project in the northern city of Tangier.
 
    This project, which will create 1,500 job opportunities, provides for building three hotels, a tourist residence, a golf fairway and a conferences center.
 
    The Qatari group launched, in 2005, 18 investment projects in several countries, such as Egypt, Syria, Oman, Seychelles and Morocco.
